With an attendance increase of more than 25 percent, the International Association of Exhibitions and Events  (IAEE) has proclaimed its Expo! Expo! IAEE's Annual Meeting & Exhibition, held in December in Las Vegas, a success. The annual year-end event, one of the largest industry conventions whose attendees include meeting planners, show organizers, destination executives and exhibition suppliers, is taken as a sign that the industry ended 2011 on upbeat note.

With the official announcement of the Facilities & Destinations 2011 Awards of Excellence Winners this summer, Site selection became a little bit easier because now, Meeting Planners can know the "Best of the Best" in today’s destination marketplace. This annual Meeting Industry event, conducted by the Facilities Media Group and voted on by Planners of meetings, conventions, trade shows and other events, is a recognition of achievement of a destination and/or facility and its personnel through a program that dates back to 1988.

The Facilities Media Group has launched an exciting new publication, the Facilities & Destinations Mid-Market Review. The new magazine takes an in-depth look at the Meeting Planners who organize events in these 2nd and 3rd Tier destinations as well as these unique cities themselves.
