Ovations Food Services has gotten a spring training call up. This specialist in food and beverage catering for public assembly facilities, was named the official concessionaire of the new Goodyear Ballpark and Recreational Complex, in Goodyear, Arizona, which will soon serve as the spring training home to the Cleveland Indians and the Cincinnati Reds.
"Ovations Food Services has an outstanding reputation for their high-level of quality food presentation and their excellent customer service,” said Nathan Torres, Goodyear's Stadium Manager.
The $108 million Goodyear Ballpark and Recreational Complex, located about 20 miles west of Phoenix, Arizona, will feature the 10,000-seat Goodyear Stadium, which features 500 premium seats, 8,000 regular seats and additional seating for 1,500 on the lawn. The complex also includes extensive Spring Training facilities in addition to the stadium.
In 1009, the Cleveland Indians will use the facility for Spring Training, and in 2010, the Cincinnati Reds will take up camp along with their American League rivals. Both teams will have a club house, and six fields (four full fields, half-field, practice field, and agility fields). The Goodyear Ballpark Stadium will be used for Exhibition Games during Spring Training. During the 10 months of the year Spring Training Camp is not in session, eight of the fields will be available for community use and the stadium will be available for entertainment and other events.
Supplying this multi-use, state-of-art, multi-field of dreams facility will be Ovations Food Services, a subsidiary of the national sports and entertainment firm Comcast-Spectacor. Ovations Food Services will bring to the to Goodyear Ballpark and Recreational Complex, their signature catering concepts including Hot Dog Nation, Pizzaolio and Black Angus as well as custom party packages for picnic areas and special events.
Ovations Food Services will continue to emphasize specialty menu items with local flavors in its selections at the facility. "It is our promise that our food is prepared fresh," said Ken Young, President, Ovations Food Services. "We never pre-wrap our hot dogs or other items we sell. Everything is prepared fresh in front of the customers. Our customers truly enjoy our food right off the grill."

Ovations Food Services provides catering and banquet services to over 90 different venues throughout North America. In addition to providing their fresh-food approach to more than 90 accounts throughout North America—including the Duke Energy Center in Cincinnati, the Nashville Convention Center, and the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center—the company is also the official concessionaire for Hohokam Stadium in Mesa, Arizona, which is the spring training home of the Chicago Cubs.
