Ridgefield, WA—The Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds has reason to celebrate the first anniversary of its Exhibition Hall. The addition of this new facility, which opened in March of 2005, increased the number of events and shows presented in Clark County and attracted more than 400,000 people to the Event Center.
According to venue mangers, the Exhibition Hall has enabled Clark County Fair to heighten the overall Fair experience and provided promoters and event planners new opportunities during the seven months of non-Fair activities, including: Northwest RV Show; Great American Train Show; Quilt, Craft & Sewing Festival; Americas Largest Antique & Collectible Shows; and the Mane Event Equestrian Exposition. The booking of these events exceeded our initial expectations, says Justin Kobluk, assistant general manager. It says that Clark County is a viable community to attract new events and activities.
Until recently, Clark County was lumped into the Portland Metro area and not seen as a stand alone population that could support large scale events, adds Stephanie Frisch, marketing manager. Promoters have been extremely pleased with the enthusiastic response from the local area patrons.
The Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds is an established 170 acre campus with multi-purpose facilities. The new Exhibition Hall features 97,200 square feet of unobstructed show space. Additional facilities include an Equestrian Arena, The Grandstands, a collection of Livestock Buildings and three South Halls. For more information, visit www.clarkcoeventcenter.com. |
