Air Service Expanding for New Branson Airport

In addition, the airport has also, announced that it is expanding air service with AirTran Airways.  The carrier will now offer daily roundtrip nonstop flights from Branson Airport to General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with connections available through Milwaukee to Baltimore, New York City, Minneapolis, Boston, Orlando, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.Meeting Planners and attendees to their events will now find getting to Branson, Missouri much more convenient. This world famous entertainment destination, and its recently opened Branson Convention Center, will soon have a fully operational airport. The $155 million Branson Airport, the first privately developed and operated commercial service airport in the U.S., is due to officially open in May.

In addition, the airport has also, announced that it is expanding air service with AirTran Airways. The carrier will now offer daily roundtrip nonstop flights from Branson Airport to General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with connections available through Milwaukee to Baltimore, New York City, Minneapolis, Boston, Orlando, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

 "As Branson's first carrier we are pleased to add Milwaukee, WI as our second non-stop market," said John Kirby, Senior Director of Strategic Planning and Scheduling, AirTran Airways. "Advance bookings for our Atlanta flights remain strong, and service to the upper Midwest is a natural next growth step."

The AirTran announcement is in addition to the previously announced daily roundtrip, nonstop service between Branson Airport and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Atlanta, Georgia. "Expanding our service The $155 million Branson Airport, the first privately developed and operated commercial service airport in the U.S., is due to officially open in May. footprint to Milwaukee means the traveling public will now have easier access not just to the Midwest, but better access to both coasts as well using AirTrans’ daily nonstop low-cost flights to and from Branson," said Steve Peet, CEO, Branson Airport. In other Branson Airport news, it was announced that an exclusive agreement has been reached with Famous Dave’s BBQ Restaurants to provide all food concessions and catering services at the airport. Those services include a full-service Famous Dave’s BBQ restaurant and snack station. "We are very excited to welcome Famous Dave’s BBQ as our exclusive food concession vendor at the Branson Airport," said Jeff Bourk, Executive Director, Branson Airport. "Famous Dave’s reputation of providing award winning food and a high level of customer service, provides a perfect fit for travelers looking to enjoy the true Branson experience."

The Famous Dave’s BBQ at the Branson Airport is owned and operated by Cutchall Management Company of Omaha, which also owns and operates the Famous Dave’s BBQ restaurant on Branson Landing.
