The Embassy Suites Murfreesboro Hotel & Conference Center construction is on-schedule for completion in fall of 2008, according to venue officials. The all-suite, luxury hotel and conference center will fill a unique niche in the Greater Nashville market with the largest convention space outside of Davidson County.
When completed, Embassy Suites Murfreesboro Hotel & Conference Center, will feature 10 stories with 283 suites, and an estimated 80,000 square feet of meeting/event space, and will be able to accommodate small and large meetings and other group events. Its 28,800 square-foot Grand Ballroom is the third largest in the Greater Nashville market, behind only Gaylord Opryland.
"There is a lot of anticipation within this community," said David Latture, General Manager. "We have tremendous support from the city of Murfreesboro and Rutherford County, both of which understand the greatneed and potential benefit of this type of facility in the area."
The hotel will create an estimated 225 full-time equivalent jobs and contribute $23 million in revenue to the Rutherford County economy annually, according to the American Lodging Association.
"We are booking events and conferences and receiving inquiries about the hotel and meeting space on a daily basis," said Becky Vealey, Director of Sales and Marketing. "It is great to serve a market in need where the community is also extremely supportive. We have a lot of momentum building up." |
