Now the impetus behind a growing meetings destination, the Crowne Plaza Niagara Falls was recognized by InterContinental Hotels Group with the company’s 2007 "Best Overall Renovation Award" for the Crowne Plaza brand. This summer, the hotel completed a $25 million-dollar makeover that transformed all 391 guestrooms and suites, as well as the lobby, public spaces, meeting rooms, exterior facade, in-house Starbucks Café, and food and beverage outlets
The award acknowledged that the hotel fulfilled the Crowne Plaza’s brand credo as "The Place to Meet," noting the venue’s new contemporary design. InterContinental Hotels Group Renovation Awards are given annually to select hotels that successfully completed upgrades and renovations. The Crowne Plaza Niagara Falls received the award at IHG’s Americas Investors and Leadership Conference held in Dallas in October .
