Alisal Guest Ranch & Resort, a conference center in Solvang, California, situated in the secluded Santa Ynez Valley, 35 miles north of Santa Barbara, California, has broken ground on the Alisal Fitness Center. The 5,500-square-foot, newly constructed space will feature a wrap around porch, 1,500-square-foot workout room with state-of-the-art cardio and weight training equipment; a 1,000-square-foot group fitness room that will offer classes, including yoga and Pilates; five single and one couples massage therapy rooms; men’s and women’s locker rooms including steam saunas, and a spacious lobby with a comfortable sitting area accented by a roaring fireplace, fresh juice bar, and retail space.
"Many of our guests don’t want to break their exercise routine and would like to indulge in a massage or take a yoga class," said David Lautensack, General Manager. "We’ve listened to what they had to say and now guests will have the opportunity to have it all."
Located on 10,000 private acres sporting 300-year old oak and sycamore trees, Alisal Guest Ranch & Resort offers 73 telephone-and-television-free guest cottages and suites, horseback riding trails, two eighteen-hole championship golf courses, six tennis courts, and a 100-acre spring-fed lake for fly fishing, canoeing, and kayaking.
In addition, Alisal Guest Ranch & Resort features five well-appointed conference rooms with audiovisual capabilities—a combined 5,498 sq. ft. of diverse space accommodating up to 150 people—as well as the Ranch Room, a 175-seat main dining room, the Oak Room, an 80-seat lounge and 12-seat bar, the Ranch Grill and the River Grill.
"The fitness center will bring our amenities full circle," added Lautensack. The Alisal Fitness Center is scheduled to open in May 2008. |
