Denver—Soon attendees to the newly expanded Colorado Convention Center have more luxury lodging options. Several new luxury hotels projects in Downtown Denver, all within walking distance of the Convention Center, are enhancing the Denver convention and trade show experience.
"Denver is adding to our already excellent downtown hotel package with two new luxurious properties – a Ritz Carlton and a Four Seasons, both conveniently located in the center of the city," said Richard Scharf, president & CEO of the Denver Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau. "Combined with the 1,100-room Hyatt Regency and other new downtown hotels, Denver will now offer 7,300 hotel rooms and 300 restaurants."
A new 230-room Four Seasons Hotel Denver will open two blocks from the Colorado Convention Center in the winter of 2009. The hotel will occupy the bottom 16 floors of the 45-story high Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences. The hotel will feature a restaurant, lobby lounge and bar, a fully equipped health and fitness center, full-service spa, rooftop pool area with dining and bar and approximately 16,000 square feet of meeting space. Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts will operate the hotel and manage the residences. The company manages 74 properties in 31 countries with more than 25 hotels in development.
Denver also has a new 202-room Ritz Carlton that will open in the fall of 2007. The $88 million refurbishing of what was the Embassy Suites hotel will include 47 suites, 32 Club Level rooms and one Ritz-Carlton suite. There will be 13,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 6,200 square foot main ballroom, a junior ballroom, business center and lobby lounge. ELWAYS will be the signature restaurant, named after NFL Hall of Fame quarterback and former Denver Bronco player, John Elway. The spacious guest rooms will measure over 550 square feet each, making them the largest guest rooms in Denver
A 221-room Hilton Garden Inn is also scheduled to open downtown across the street from the Colorado Convention Center in late 2007. |
