It’s one thing for other hoteliers and venue managers to recognize your hospitality and meeting expertise, and it’s another thing for travel writers and meetings industry publications to vote on and issue awards. Both are certainly noteworthy. However, what hotels value most is formal recognition from an actual, high-profile client and its meeting planning staff. This what has happened to a famous Florida meetings hotel. Bank of America, which holds several meetings of varying sizes across the U.S. each year has given this holy grail of venue awards by declaring Loews Miami Beach Hotel its number one meetings/conference partner.
The iconic South Beach venue, which features more than 65,000 square feet of meeting and function space, has been awarded Hotel Partner of the Year by Bank of America. The prestigious award—one of a small number of bestowed by meeting clients to a meeting venue—recognizes a hotel that provides outstanding service and dedication to the Bank of America conferences, meetings and programs, hundreds of which are held throughout the year all over the country.
"It is a thrill to receive this recognition from such a prominent company," said Shawn Hauver, Managing Director, Loews Miami Beach Hotel. "Our entire team was heavily involved in the Bank of America programs and I want to thank them all, without their hard work and dedication this honor would not have happened."
Loews Miami Beach Hotel under the leadership and commitment of Associate Director of Conference Services, Tony Selby, planned and executed a total of four meeting programs for Bank of America associates including a March 2008 conference, which had a reported 1,000 attendees.
The Partner of the Year Award is based on a list of criteria which hotels not only need to meet but to exceed. That criteria includes: delivering superior service; adds value and displays teamwork and trust both on their internal teams and in their interactions with Bank of America, and any contracted suppliers; delivers an excellent associate experience above all else; and a partner that remembers the goal is to ensure everyone has a good time and a great experience.
