A rendering of the Embassy Suites Murfreesboro ­ Hotel & Conference Center. Construction of which is on-schedule for completion in fall of 2008, according to venue officials and will feature 10 stories with 283 suites, and an estimated 80,000 square feet of meeting/event space. The Embassy Suites Murfreesboro Hotel & Conference Center construction is on-schedule for completion in fall of 2008, according to venue officials. The all-suite, luxury hotel and conference center will fill a unique niche in the Greater Nashville market with the largest convention space outside of Davidson County.

Jeanavive Marie Janssen, Director of Sales, Event Productions Inc., is the chairman of the new Young Professionals Committee, which spearheads outreach initititiaves by the International Association of Exhibitions and Events to make the industry more conducive to younger professionals. Perhaps taking a cue from Conference Centers, whose leading association IACC, recently created special board positions for younger members of the profession, the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) is reaching out to generation X/Y. IAEE has now formed the Young Professionals Committee, a group within theorganize that specially focuses on and addresses the needs and distinctive culture of younger members of the exhibitions and events industry. The Young Professionals Committee will also work towards recruiting future candidates to the field and encourage younger professionals to pursue leadership positions.

Milwaukee native, actress Jane Kaczmarek, is known for her starring role as Lois in “Malcolm in the  Middle,” Felicity, Party of Five, Frasier,  and Hill Street Blues. Now, she is the star of a recently filmed a promotional video for her home town.  Milwaukee native and Malcolm in the Middle star Jane Kaczmarek has joined forces with VISIT Milwaukee, the city's convention and visitors bureau, to encourage tourism and meetings in her hometown. The award-winning actress donated her time to act as narrator and Milwaukee spokesperson in this promotional video in which she touts the city's new and unique attractions as well as its more established sites and invites visitors to experience all that Milwaukee has to offer.
