The Providence Warwick Convention & Visitor Bureau’s convention services team works closely with meeting planners on specific initiatives to help boost attendance. Services include: targeted e-mail blasts; postcard mailings; reciprocal Web links and pre-promotion at prior year’s meeting; customized interactive maps; access to a stock photo library; promotional DVD highlighting the destination; attendee Web site/microsite; collateral materials including visitor guides, maps, brochures; welcome banners throughout city; welcome signage in member establishments ; stock stories and pre-written copy about the destination and local media lists for the distribution of press releases. There are 5,500 in Greater Providence area with 2,100 located less than one mile from the Rhode Island Convention Center Complex. The complex itself features 23 Meeting rooms; a 20,000—square-foot Ballroom; 100,000-square-foot Main Exhibit Hall and a total of 137,000 square feet of Exhibit Space and is adjacent to the 13,000-seat Dunkin Donut Center.
