A capacity crowd packed Joe Louis Arena  in Detroit as thousands of fans screamed for their favorite “David.”  American Idol winner David Cook and runner-up David Archuleta received the loudest applause as American Idols Live! 2008 performed at the arena in July.  The one night engagement showcased solo performances by each of the top ten finalists from the seventh season of America Idol.  The contestants sang hit songs from artists such as The Beatles, Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Queen and Beyonce.  The only group melody concluded the show with a performance of Rihanna's single, "Don't Stop the Music."
