Sugarland, one of the most popular Country Music Duos performing today, gave a dazzling performance for a sell-out crowd of 5,445 at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, an entertainment hub serving the Southeast Missouri, Southern Illinois and Western Kentucky markets.
Sugarland, entertaining one of the loudest and most enthusiastic crowds ever reported at the Show Me Center, performed a vast repitore that include hits "Baby Girl" and "Stay". When Jennifer and Kristin emerged for an encore—in separate inflated bubbles—and crowd surfed the fans like giant beach balls. Sugarland’s most recent album, Enjoy the Ride, sold 211,000 during its first week and opened at #4 on the US Top 200 and at #2 on the Country Chart. The Show Me Center performance came hot on the heels of Sugarland bringing home the "Best Duo" honors at the 2008 CMT Awards for "Stay."
The performance also featured opening act, Little Big Town who warmed the crowd up with hits like "Bring It Home" and their country anthem "Boondocks". Little Big Town joined Sugarland for encores, to finish off a fantastic night filled with a dazzling performance full of energy, hot guitar licks, bright lights—and some of the best songs in Country Music today—LIVE at the Show Me Center!
