
With local, state-wide and national media outlets proliferating, learning how to deal with the media, get exposure for your venue and promote events is more critical than ever. The International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE)—will be offering "Get Ready for the Media" a full day of
Intense Media Training at its 2006 Convention, December 4-7.
The program is limited to five participants, and will be conducted by media expert, Courtney Simmons
This EXCLUSIVE IAFE Get Ready for the Media training session promises participants:
- You will gain control over YOUR message
- You will understand every step of the communications and media process
- You will gain comfort and confidence in public speaking
Courtney will spend the day putting an intimate group through the incredibly
valuable experience of on-camera training. You will be in the hot seat, the
lights shining in your eyes, and the microphone stuck in your face. Although
not always relaxing, this course is never boring and is sure to turn you
into a media pro, ready for any type of media situation.
She will teach you the following: Developing a message; Establishing ground rules for interviews; Bridging to message points; Looking good on TV; Controlling your message; Improving body language; Answering questions; Using Teleprompters, earpieces, and microphones; Identifying loaded questions; Handling hostile interviews; Improving wardrobe; Crisis communications and Using makeup.
These day long sessions will be schedule based on interest and on a first
come first served basis. On the session day you will be in training from
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Box lunch and refreshments will be included.
