"Every Picture Tells a Story" and the story behind this one could be that Rod Stewart is still a performer who draws in the crowds. Stewart his pictured here with Sunil Sinha (left) from AEG Live and Marilyn Hauser of Palace Sports & Entertainment (center) who presented Rod Stewart with Palace Sports & Entertainment's prestigious Platinum Ticket Award prior to his January 23rd concert at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Currently on an arena tour supporting his new album, Still The Same...Great Rock Classics Of Our Time, Stewart's first rock album in over 8 years, Stewart earned the accolade by surpassing 230,000 in career attendance including 10 sellouts at Palace Sports & Entertainment venues. One of The Palace's first concert performers when he made his debut appearance during a two-night stand shortly after the arena opened in 1988, Stewart joins such musical luminaries as Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band, Barenaked Ladies, Kid Rock, Paul McCartney, Elton John, Neil Diamond, Bon Jovi and Aerosmith as recipients of the Platinum Ticket award.
