Greetings!
On behalf of IAAM I would like our members and others affected by the fires in southern California to know that our thoughts are with you. In a Life Safety Council meeting on Monday, October 22, IAAM again addressed our relationship with the American Red Cross and reaffirmed our collaboration for assistance regarding national disasters.
In an effort to serve industry leaders at the frontline of this tragic situation IAAM took an active approach and is offering a copy of our Mega Shelters Best Practices Guidelines to facilities that are impacted by the fires. It is our hope that it will be of use as they provide support to area evacuees. We are currently communicating with several individuals in the area to determine where IAAM can lend a helping hand.
We continue to support our mission to aid our members in servicing their communities in times of adversity. Thank you for your concern for our fellow members and we will keep you abreast of any changes. IAAM will post updated information on the website under Front Row News. In addition, if you are in an area affected by the fires and need a copy of the Mega Shelters Best Practices Guidelines feel free to email Harold Hansen at Harold.hansen@iaam.org.
Kind Regards,

Steve Peters, CFE
