Fans who attended the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, for the Scott County Central versus Sikeston High School basketball game were able to support both their team and their community by purchasing specialty concessions items during what is locally known as “THE GAME”. Seven hundred and sixty-six specialty items—designated by team— were purchased during over the course of the event. The Show Me Center donated one dollar per specialty item purchased. Fans from Scott County Central edging out the Sikeston fans by a margin almost as slim as the final score: Scott County Central 53% versus Sikeston 47%. The American Red Cross of Southeast Missouri was the real winner, with in $766.00 being raised for the organization’s Emergency Disaster Relief Fund.
