Each year, the Girl Scouts honor women of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place with the Women of Distinction Awards. Crystal Seitz, President of the Greater Reading Convention and Visitor's Bureau was one of four women in Berks County to accept a Women of Distinction Award presented by the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania www.gsep.org at the 22nd Annual Take the Lead Awards ceremony held in March at the Sheraton Reading Hotel, Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. "I'm honored to be recognized by such outstanding organization that shapes future leaders," said Seitz. "They are in part what drives me to get involved in programs and activities for Greater Reading to improve the quality of life, generate jobs for our residents, and ultimately, build pride within our community—reaching everyone who visits." As president for Greater Reading Convention and Visitor's Bureau, Seitz has overseen the development of many programs and events that generate about 10 million visitors and $624 million dollars each year, catapulting tourism, conventions and meetings to become the second largest industry in Berks County.
