
The Hyatt Regency Bonaventure Conference Center & Spa in Weston, Florida is the first hotel in Broward County to the Florida Green Lodging certification.
Just in time for Earth Day, (April 22)the Hyatt Regency Bonaventure Conference Center & Spa in Weston, Florida, has become a certified Florida Green Lodging hotel, the first hotel in Broward County to receive this state certification for its eco-friendly programs.

The Green Team. The greening of the Hyatt Regency Bonaventure Conference Center & Spa was a venue-wide project, including its guest rooms, meeting space, restaurants and spa. "Hyatt Regency Bonaventure has been able to seamlessly weave in environmentally sensitive programs without compromising the quality experience for our guests," said Fred Euler, General Manager.
"Greater Fort Lauderdale is actively making a commitment to preserving our water resources and sensitive ecosystems that are essential components of our vibrant economy and quality of life," said Nicki E. Grossman, President/CEO, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau. "With Hyatt Regency Bonaventure being the first of hopefully many hotels throughout the destination to become a certified Green Lodging, we look forward to the continued greening of our tourism industry."

The 501-room Hyatt Regency Bonaventure Conference Center & Spa features a state-of-the-art conference center covering 100,000 square feet of meeting space.
Environmentally friendly tactics that qualified the hotel for certification includes state-approved recycling, water conservation and energy management programs. In addition to helping the environment, these initiatives have also had a significant impact on the hotel's operating costs. Within the first month of replacing the incandescent
light bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs throughout the 23-acre property, Hyatt Regency Bonaventure decreased its energy costs by more than $30,000. In addition, the venue provides free valet to guests with hybrid cars.

The Hyatt Regency Bonaventure Conference Center & Spa completed a $100 million renovation in 2007. The 501-room hotel offers four-star accommodations with a state-of-the-art conference center covering 100,000 square feet of meeting space. In addition to three onsite dining options—the Ireland's Steak House, the Banyan Restaurant, and Bar Zen—the venue offers four swimming pools, a nature trail and access to first-rate tennis and golf facilities. In addition, there’s the 48,000-square-foot Red Door Lifestyle Spa, which features 30 treatment rooms, private pool, state-of-the art fitness facility, Yoga studio, and the Bamboo Spa Café.
