
Ahmeenah Young, President and CEO of the Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority was the recipient Philadelphia Multicultural Affairs Congress Outstanding Recognition Award with Dwight Evans, Pennsylvania State Representatives, who present the award to Young. Evans is a founder of the MAC.
The Philadelphia Multicultural Affairs Congress (MAC), a division of the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau whose mission is to attract more multicultural visitors to the city, celebrated its 14th Annual Recognition Luncheon entitled, “Embracing the Journey, Living the Vision”, at the Hyatt Regency Philadelphia at Penn’s Landing. The Outstanding Recognition Award—the organization’s highest honor and given individuals who have exhibited personal dedication and hard work in both corporate and community service activities relating to MAC’s mission was presented to Ahmeenah Young, President and CEO of the Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority. Young was recognized for her diligent workn in the growth and productivity of Philadelphia’s tourism industry and especially her community involvement, which ensured the inclusion of multicultural & female-owned businesses in the local construction and professional services trades. “It is with great pleasure that we honor Ahmeenah Young with the Outstanding Recognition Award,” said Tanya E. Hall, executive director of MAC. “Her work and dedication exemplifies MAC’s efforts in continuing to make Philadelphia a leading multicultural travel destination and a top cultivator of multicultural workforce development.”
