Grand Opening festivities were celebrated this week for the Candlewood Suites Hotel Columbia/Fort Jackson, South Carolina, with a ribbon-cutting led by Charlie Daniels. “The Devil Went Down to Georgia,” “The South's Gonna Do It Again,” “In America,” and “The Legend of Wooley Swamp,” are some of the well known hits of this Grammy Award winning, Country Music & Southern Rock Legend. The Candlewood Suites Hotel Columbia/Fort Jackson features guestrooms with an executive desk with two separate phone lines, abd also provides guests with a Fitness Center and free Guest Laundry. The hotel, which also features 310 square feet of meeting space, is minutes from the Columbia Convention Center and the newly re-named, Colonial Life Arena. Prior to playing a show for the military based at Fort Jackson as part of his current tour, Charlie Daniels and his band stayed at the Candlewood Suites Hotel Columbia/Fort Jackson. During the ribbon-cutting ceremony Mr. Daniels said that he travels more than 100 days each year and thought the Candlewood concept was “extremely comfortable and a great product,” and that the staff and facilities at the Candlewood Suites Hotel Columbia/Fort Jackson,were “fantastic.”
