Located in world-renowned Miami Beach, The Miami Beach Convention Center, conveniently situated only minutes from the Miami International Airport, spans four city blocks. The Center has 502,848 square feet of contiguous and divisible exhibit space on one level, an unlimited floor load capacity, and a 35-foot ceiling, which can be configured as one large expanse of exhibit space, or subdivided into four separate halls of approximately 125,000 square feet each. Adjacent to the exhibit halls are 70 separate meeting rooms, totaling approximately 130,448 square feet, which range in size from 500 square feet to 21,252 square feet. Adjacent to the Center is the 2,700-seat Jackie Gleason Theater that also can be used for general sessions or special events.

Global Spectrum has reached a management agreement for the Miami Beach Convention Center. Global Spectrum is a subsidiary of internationally recognized entertainment and sports firm Comcast-Spectacor which is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The contract is reportedly for three years with two, one year renewal options. Global Spectrum also formed a strategic marketing alliance with the European-based Messe Schweiz, a trade show and exhibition production company that owns Art Basel Miami Beach and 20 other trade and consumer shows. This new agreement is designed to bring new exhibitions and events to the Miami Beach Convention Center. “Based on our experience in similar facilities, we’re really looking forward to working closely with City of Miami Beach in taking their convention center to a new level,” said John Page, Global Spectrum Chief Operating Officer. “This is a tremendous opportunity for Global Spectrum and we intend to take full advantage of it by exceeding all expectations and showing the industry how great it can be to do business at the Miami Beach Convention Center under new management."

In addition to a new management contract with the Miami Beach Convention Center, Global Spectrum also signed a marketing agreement with Trade Show Producers, Messe Schweiz to bring more events to the venue.
