St. Louis Receives International Award

St. Louis Mayor Francis G. Slay with World Leadership Forum officials.
The World Leadership Forum awarded St. Louis its World Leadership Award in the category of urban renewal. Ceremonies took place in London on December 6, 2006. The honor recognized the "Renaissance Enhancements" to St. Louis hospitality product and overall improvement in the quality of life in the City.
"This honor recognizes the vision and hard work of the many people who are making St. Louis a great city," Mayor Francis Slay said from London where he accepted the award on the City’s behalf. Construction cranes are a common site on St. Louis distinctive skyline. The Gateway Arch, iconic symbol of the city role in the opening of the American West, now overlooks more than $3.5 billion is development including shops, restaurants, hotels, and entertainment venues surrounding the America Center convention complex.

Richard A. Geyer, (right) President/CEO, Wisconsin Center District, and Anthony Dynicki, Sales Manager, Wisconsin Center District, came to New York City recently to meet with clients, meeting and event planners and the media, which of course included The Facilities Media Group. Sandy Abby, our Advertising Executive, met with them at world famous Sardi’s restaurant. Located in the heart of New York's Theater District, the eatery has been the toast of Broadway for 82 years. The Wisconsin Center District of course is well known for its exciting, state-of-the-art, meeting, event and entertainment venues— the Midwest Airlines Center, U.S. Cellular Arena, and Milwaukee Theatre.
