Michigan's favorite son, the classic rocker and band: Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band, made Van Andel Arena history crushing sellout records for both single-day concerts and two-date runs for the Grand Rapids Arena. The Arena has also added an exciting new club for select audience members.
Tickets for the Nov. 8th Bob Seger concert at Van Andel Arena sold out in just four minutes! A second date was added for Nov. 12th, and that sold out as well, in just 15 minutes!
Bob Seger's Nov. 8th sellout becomes the fastest ever sellout for events at Van Andel Arena,
coming in ahead of Tim McGraw & Faith Hill's 7-minute sellout for their May 7, 2005 concert and Kenny Chesney's 9-minute sellout for his April 1, 2004 concert.
"This is the first time Seger has played Van Andel Arena, and the buzz surrounding this concert suggested it would be one of the hottest tickets in town. It had the highest advanced interest by far of any show I've seen," said Richard MacKeigan, SMG's General Manager for Van Andel Arena and DeVos Place. "This was the fastest sellout in Van Andel Arena
history. The only way it can be topped is if Seger comes back again!"
Bob Seger kicks off his U.S. tour with The Silver Bullet Band at Van Andel Arena, a Prime Site Award winning venue. The Grammy winner has sold nearly 50 million albums in his career. His long- awaited new album, Face the Promise, hit stores September 12th, debuting on the Billboard 200 album chart at #4 with over 150,000 units sold. Other stops on the comeback tour for Seger (venues to be announced) include: Huntington, Knoxville, Cincinnati, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Chicago, Louisville, and Cleveland.
