Don’t look for Ginou Etienne in the Box Office of the BankUnited Center in Coral Gables, Florida for at least two weeks. Etienne, who joined the Global Spectrum-managed, 8,000-seat multipurpose entertainment facility in 2006, usually works in the box office selling tickets to the numerous concerts, basketball games and other events. Instead, she’s currently in China—representing her nation of Haiti in the 400 meter dash at the Beijing Olympics in August. She is currently one of five Haitian Track and Field athletes to go to the Olympic Games. “The BankUnited Center has been very supportive and understanding through my training," said Etienne. "This truly is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and I am grateful to everyone for allowing me to continue working and chasing my dream."
