One of the longest-running groups in country music, the Oak Ridge Boys, whose hits include Elvira, Bobbie Sue, Little Things, amd It Takes A Little Rain (To Make Your Love Grow)," actually had their roots in the late forties as the Oak Ridge Quartet. The line up has changed over the decades—the name changed to Oak Ridge Boys in 1961 and by the 70s & 80s, the Hit Records started coming. The Oak Ridge Boys—have sold more than 39 million records and have worked with Paul Simon, Johnny Cash & The Carter Family, Roy Clark and George Jones, to name a few. The Oak Ridge Boys have released at least five Christmas albums and this year, they continue that tradition with their Oak Ridge Boys Christmas Celebration 2008 Tour. The Oak Ridge Boys will bring their Christmas LIVE show, which includes their hits as well as their beloved renditions of Christmas classics, to the Show Me Center on December 8th. Other venues on the tour include: Peabody Auditorium, Topeka Performance Arts Center, Peoria Civic Center Arena, US Cellular Center, Adler Theater, and the Civic Center of Greater Des Moines.
