Only minutes away from the Orange County Convention Center as well as all four major Walt Disney World® Theme Parks, Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld, the newly re-flagged and beneficiary of a $10 million renovation, the Holiday Inn Main Gain East in Kissimmee, Florida welcomed its first guest. The extensive renovations to the Holiday Inn Main Gate East include completely refurbished guest accommodations, highlighted by colorful and stylish triple-sheeted beds, granite countertops and high-speed Internet access. In addition, the makeover encompassed a redesigned lobby, Italian tile throughout the venue and a newly landscaped tropical pool and spa featuring a brick-paved deck.
The first guests were Doreen Thomas, J.C. Russell, M. Clarey and baby Louise-Grace Clarey, a family from Moulton, Lincolnshire, in Great Britain. They were greeted at check-in with a complimentary stay and a gift basket containing an oversized plush Mickey Mouse and an assortment of sweet treats. "We've always stayed at Holiday Inn while traveling, because they have a good reputation," said Doreen Thomas. "And, although we're tired from the long trip, we're surprised and amazed to be the first guests at the Holiday Inn Main Gate
East."
