An estimated 250,000 air passengers fly to and from Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport every day, representing an estimated 10 percent of all passengers that fly in the U.S. each day. And of course, many of them are either attending or leaving a meeting or convention. To help meeting attendees get the most out of Atlanta, the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau upgraded and re-opened its airport Visitors’ Center, located in between the North and South Terminals of the baggage claim area. Enhancements include a fresh, new look that reflects the Atlanta brand and six flat screen televisions that will display useful information, such as events that are taking place in Atlanta or the convenient city-wide transit and attraction discount program, the Atlanta CityPass. “The increased presence and upgraded technology at the new visitors’ center will help us engage more travelers to explore Atlanta,” said Spurgeon Richardson, President/ CEO of Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau. The busiest airport in the world presents a lot of opportunity to capture potential visitors, all translating in to economic impact for our city.” Other Visitors’ Centers are located at the Georgia World Congress Center, the Georgia Aquarium and Underground Atlanta.
