The city of Indianapolis celebrated the groundbreaking of the $425 million JW Marriott Indianapolis complex which includes four hotels totaling 1,623 rooms (JW Marriott Indianapolis, Courtyard by Marriott, Spring Hill Suites by Marriott, and Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott). It will feature more than 105,000 square feet of meeting and exhibit space, including the largest hotel ballroom in the Midwest with more than 40,000 square feet. The Courtyard by Marriott, Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott, and Springhill Suites by Marriott will open in February 2010. The JW Marriott Indianapolis with 1,005 rooms will open in February 2011.
