HYATT REGENCY CORAL GABLES PARTICIPATES IN NATIONAL GROUNDHOG
JOB SHADOW DAY ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 2ND

February 2nd is Ground Hog Day, and how much time left until spring depends on of if the Ground Hog sees its shadow. It was also National Groundhog Job Shadow Day, where through Job Shadow, a nationwide job initiative where students “shadow” a mentor throughout his or her day to discover how the skills they learn in the classroom can be applied to a career. Hyatt Regency Coral Gables, through the American Hospitality & Lodging Association, paired mentors from its hotel with junior and senior high school students from the community. “This event is the perfect opportunity to demonstrate our industry’s commitment to supporting and improving our communities,” said Walter Nathanson, Human Resources Manager for Hyatt Regency Coral Gables. “In addition, we can give students a hands-on, up-close look at the variety and potential available in the lodging industry.” Above, Nathanson (he’s the one wearing a tie) poses with the Job Shadow Students in the Presidential Suite of the Hyatt Regency Coral Gables.
