A COMPREHENSIVE MEETING/EVENT COMPLEX IN MICHIGAN’S 2^ND LARGEST CITY

Situated to provide stunning views of the lovely Grand River, the 1-million-square-foot DeVos Place in Grand Rapids, Michigan offers a 160,000-square-foot Exhibit Hall, 40,000 square foot ballroom, 26 sub-dividable meeting rooms with over 32,000 square feet of space as well the  2400-seat DeVos Performance Hall.

DeVos Place is an SMG-managed convention facility, located in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan on the beautiful Grand River.

The 1 million-square-foot DeVos Place offers flexible space for meetings, conventions and trade shows as well as performing arts and touring events, and has the capability of hosting a variety of events simultaneously.  

DeVos Place features an extraordinary 160,000 square-foot full service Exhibit Hall, which is the size of three football fields placed side by side and can be divided into three rooms with a ceiling height of 72 feet at its highest point. Each of the three rooms contains restrooms at both ends and concession. areas. Hall C provides a view of the beautiful Grand River. The Exhibit Hall can accommodate up to 13,000 people in a banquet setting and up to18,000 for a reception.         

 

DeVos Place also features the DeVos Performance Hall , a 2400-seat performing arts theatre that is home to The Grand Rapids Symphony, The Grand Rapids Ballet Company, Broadway Theatre Guild and Opera Grand Rapids. The brand-new lobby of DeVos Performance Hall was unveiled in June 2002 as part of the DeVos Place Expansion project. The new lobby includes a beautiful terrazzo floor, new box office with an outside window and a scrolling marquee. Also recently opened are brand new restroom facilities located on the north side of the theatre on the second and third floors.

Three blocks, away, connected by skyway is the $75 million, the 12,000 plus-seat Van Andel Arena, which is also an SMG facility.

Downtown Grand Rapids features world-class hotels, including the Four-Star Amway Grand Plaza Hotel  home to The 1913 Room, Michigan’s only Five-Diamond restaurant. All tolled, over 1100 guest rooms are within walking distance of DeVos Place, with nearly 1000 of them accessible by the skywalk.  

The Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library & Museum, Van Andel Museum, and the Grand Rapids Arts Museum, receptions, which can be rented out for special events. The Grand Rapids Art Museum  elegant event spaces feature 25-foot ceiling heights, wood and marble floors and includes two banquet rooms can accommodate 150 people for a sit-down event or 325 for a cocktail reception.
