After nearly two years of renovation and changes, the former University Inn and Conference Center reintroduces itself June 13, 2008 with a well-attended ribbon cutting ceremony as the new Red Lion Hotel & Conference Center Baton Rouge.

The 132-room hotel is located four miles from downtown Baton Rouge. It features unique style of modern design, colors and textures indicative of the new Euro-design movement. All guestrooms have ceramic tile, wood laminate floors, and spa showers. 

Guestrooms also feature: massaging shower heads, in-room refrigerators, coffee, and complimentary high speed Internet access.

 The hotel’s meeting spaces include three meeting/banquet rooms with a total of 5,111 square feet—TIGER I : 3,120 square feet (Banquet Rounds – 224; Classroom – 190; Theatre –  250; Reception – 300). TIGER II: 1,600 square  feet (Banquet Rounds –  96; Classroom –  60; Theatre –  100; Reception –  120) TIGER DEN: 391 square feet (Classroom –  18; Theatre –  24; Reception – 20). In addition, The Red Lion Hotel Baton Rouge offers two business centers – one in the main lobby and the other on the Executive level.
