One of the highlights of the recent 82nd Annual International Association of Assembly Managers Conference and Trade Show in Salt Lake City, was the introduction of the (IAAM) Foundation Legacy Award, which recognizes significant contributions that benefit the mission and objectives of the IAAM Foundation and advance the public assembly industry. Mike McGee, CFE, Executive Vice President of North American Business Operations for Ticketmaster was the first Legacy recipient, which among other achievements was an acknowledgement McGee's leadership as a Foundation Trustee from 2001 to 2004 and his success as Chairman of the Tickets to the Future Act II major gifts campaign. "I stepped out of the room for a couple moments during the (IAAM Foundation Board of Trustees) meeting, and when I came back, they congratulated me on my appointment as chair of the campaign," McGee joked. "Candidly, it was a challenge that I took seriously and enjoyed; and I would encourage everyone to get involved like this."
