Atlanta—This summer, Atlanta became the latest city to offer CityPass® , a 10-year old program that offers city wide discounts to tourists, meeting/convention attendees and other travelers. Other cities offering CityPass include: Boston, Chicago, Hollywood, New York City, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle and Toronto.
Like all urban CityPass programs, the price is approximately 50 percent of the combined admission prices of an array of Atlanta sites and is valid for nine days from the first day of use. The CityPass booklets also contain maps, important information about the city, tips for dining and shopping locations, and in the case of Atlanta, directions for public transportation use with a map of the Atlanta Tourist Loop, a specially designed service operated by MARTA, which also connects into the terminal building at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The Atlanta CityPass can be purchased at www.citypass.com, or the city’s Vistors Centers, located at the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, Underground, Georgia World Congress Center and Georgia Aquarium. Group/association sales for this discount program are available. Atlanta sites discounted through Atlanta CityPass include: The Georgia Aquarium, The High Museum of Art, Inside CNN Atlanta Studio Tours, The World of Coca-Cola, the Atlanta Botanical Garden, the Fernbank Museum of Natural History, Zoo Atlanta and the Atlanta History Center. "Atlanta CityPass consists of great attractions that offer unique experiences for our visitors, but each of these attractions have experienced tremendous growth over the past several years and have played a major role in positioning Atlanta as a world-class destination," said Spurgeon Richardson, Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau, president/CEO. "These attractions are providing travelers with ample reason to return to experience Atlanta and the Atlanta CityPass again and again." |
