AT 30, SPRINGTIME BIGGER & BETTER |

WASHINGTON, DCOn May 25, the Washington Convention Center, Springtime celebrated 30 years as the Greater Washington areas premier meetings and association industry expo. What started out as Summer in the Park in 1977, with 62 exhibitors and 274 attendees, the event, hosted by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and The Center for Association Leadership, has grown to more than 800 exhibitors and 4,500 attendees.
"We couldn't have scripted the 30th anniversary of Springtime any better," said Susan Sarfati, CAE, president and CEO of The Center for Association Leadership and executive vice president of ASAE. "Feedback we have received in just a few days since the show has been nothing but positive, from the keynote by Scott Ginsberg to the morning education sessions (many of which were standing-room only), to the sold-out show floor. I personally heard from many exhibitors who said Springtime was one of their very best show experiences of the year. This show continues to make strides year after year. It's become a phenomenal success for ASAE & The Center."
Springtime also featured 11 education sessions during two different time that focused on technology, legal, international meetings, marketing and more. All sessions were designed specifically for meeting planners and pre-approved by the Convention Industry Council (CIC) to meet the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) requirements for certification and re-certification. In addition, The Springtime Exhibit Hall offered hundreds of exhibitors of venues and destinations offering meeting solutions for all sizes of organizations.
